Day 01 Arrival in Beijing

Welcome to China! Following your flight arrival in Beijing you'll transfer to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Your flight arrival time may afford time for lunch. Your hotel offers an excellent restaurant serving Chinese and Western-style cuisine. If you'd prefer to dine away from our hotel your Tour Manager can offer surroundering dining suggestions.
You may choose to relax at the hotel but if your arrival schedule permits you may also want to go some local sightseeing or shopping before dinner. Be sure to check first with your Tour Manager.
Your Tour Manager will be sure to inform you regarding Day 2’s planned activities.
Day 02 City Tour : Welcome Briefing / Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City / Summer Palace /Welcome Peking Duck Dinner

Join us after breakfast for an opportunity to get to know your Tour Manager or Local Guide and fellow travelers at an Orientation Briefing.Your Program Director will go over the details of your upcoming trip and answer any questions you may have. You'll also still have the opportunity to purchase Optional Tours.
After a briefing, set off on a sightseeing tour of Beijing. We will start our tour from the Tian'anmen Square, that's the largest public square in the world. After the Tiananmen Square, You’ll enter the Forbidden City, so named because it was off limits to visitors for 500 years. Completed in 1420, this was the center of Imperial palaces for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties.The city contains 800 ceremonial buildings, with 9,999 rooms and a courtyard that can hold 100,000 people.
At afternoon we will visit The Summer Palace, which is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. The Summer Palace of today is more or less the same as the palace rebuilt in 1903, the garden was turned into a park. Surrounded by lovely Kumming Lake and classic Chinese gardens, the palace halls and pavilions are filled with ornate furnishings and fine artwork.

Day 03 Visit Jade Carving Factory / Explore the wild Great Wall / Sacred Road of Ming Tomb / Olympic Venue Optional / Optional Tour : Beijing Opera tour with dinner

After breakfast, begin today’s full-day tour by riding through the suburbs to the north-west mountain range.
We will visit a largest Jade Carving center in Asia, Dragon Earth Jade collection center on the way to Great Wall. To Learn this amazing beautiful hand-made jade carving arts.
Then, continue on to the fabled authentic Great Wall of China, which has never been shown on any guide book before - wild section of Badaling Great wall which is special selected by China A&G Travel.
After an included lunch, your tour ends in the peaceful valley that the Ming emperors chose as their burial ground. Driving through a great marble gateway more than four centuries old, and onto Sacred Way, the Avenue of the Animals lined with massive stone statues of kneeling and standing elephants, lions, camels, and fanciful beasts. Nearby we will drive though tombs housing the remains of 13 emperors and innumerable treasures.
On the way back, our bus driver will give a detour of Olympic Venue to see the world famous Bird-Nest Stadium for our 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and Blue Water Cube - national swimming center.

Day 4 Optional tour : Temple of Heaven Tour in the morning / Hutong Tour with family host lunch /

At early morning, We begin our exploration at the Temple of Heaven - One of the most famous sites in Beijing. Interestingly, not a single nail was used in the construction of this 125-foot-tall structure. Here, emperors came to pray to their ancestors for guidance and to the heavens for favorable weather and bountiful harvests. The surrounding gardens are full of interesting activity, particularly weekend mornings. The temple park is busy with local retirees playing board games and playing traditional musical instruments; kids flying kites, adult exercisers performing Tai Chi and twirling flags.
We will have late family hosted lunch today. Our hospitality hostess will show us how to make chinese dumpling. You may have a opportunity to help cook in the tiny Chinese kitchen. After we say good bye to the local family, we will take a rickshaw to wonder throught the small alley. Then you’ll walk through Beijing’s ancient narrow hutongs, seeing the old houses and learning about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens. Today, as the city develops into an international metropolis, its lanes and alleyways, occupying one third of the city proper, still serve as dwellings for half the total urban population.
Savor a Chinese specialty this evening as you enjoy a Mongolia Hot Pot dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5 Early flight to Xi’an / Big wild Goose Pagoda / Xian City Wall / Hui Street discovery/Optional tour: Tang Dancing Show

At early morning we are transferred to Xi’an city by Flight.
When ancient Peking was just a remote trading post, Xian was the capital of the Middle Kingdom and one of the world’s biggest and richest cities, the geographical beginning of China’s fabled Silk Road.
After the short break when we back to our hotel , at afternnon we will go the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the oldest architecture in xian, dates back to Tang dynasty .
we will have a stop on Xi'an City Wall. The town itself is famous for its city walls, measuring more than 8 miles in circumference.
And then, there is a Discovery trip on A&G must-list -- Old Muslim Street, the residential district for nearly 60,000 Muslim people. Enter by way of the Drum Tower and browse the narrow lanes of shops, sesame oil factories, and residences. It's great fun way to experience that how the Muslim Group is living in China now.
Return to your hotel in time for dinner on your own.
Evening optional tour: you may company us to experience the culinary and cultural delights of ancient Xian this evening with an optional Tang Dynasty show and specialty dumpling dinner. The beautiful costumes, enchanting dances, and ancient music of the Tang Dynasty—a period of peace and exceptional creativity from AD 618 to 907—have been carefully recreated for your enjoyment. This type of performance has been treasured as a national art that reflects the glory and richness of the Tang Dynasty. Dinner is served before the show.
Day 6 Lacquerware Furniture workshop/Xian Terra Cotta Army museum/Local Herb Market/Hu County Homestay Overnight

Today’s exploring firstly includes a stop at a lacquerware furniture workshop, where you’ll witness local artisans creating intricate designs. Cap off your discoveries with lunch at a local restaurant.
And after Lacquerware stop, we will enjoy a full-day excursion to visit China’s greatest archaeological attraction, the Qin Mausoleum. More than 2,000 years ago, the Emperor Qin Shi Huang was buried in an earth mound, along with 6,400 life-sized terra cotta warriors, archers, and infantrymen, together with their horses and chariots—individually sculpted from live models. In the early 1970s, farmers digging a well accidentally uncovered some of these soldiers. Since then, three large pits have been uncovered, and are now on view to the public. No visit to China would be complete without witnessing the astounding Qin Terra Cotta Army, an exquisite and beautifully preserved symbol of an ancient era.
Besides of visit of the No.1 largest discovery in 20 Century. We will go to take look of another unique chinese culture -- Herb Market. Dead snake, centipede.....will give you surprise and a big question who chinese use those kind stuff to cure illness of their body.

Day 7 Xian / fly to Shanghai/ the Bund / Optional Tours: Acrobatic Show with Dinner

After arrival in Shanghai, We transfer to hotel and take a short break. and we'll take you to enjoy the local lunch and take you to the bund where the best view you can get !

You may also stop to see the lavishly decorated Jade Buddha Temple, a relatively young but elegant structure that has stood for less than 100 years. The Buddha statue is older than the current temple, and is carved of solid white jade, encrusted with jewels.
And after you will see more local customs enacted firsthand, when you join a Shanghai family for a Home-Hosted Lunch, also part of China A&G Travel s Discovery Series. Your gracious hosts will prepare and serve a typical Chinese meal.
After lunch, We 'll visit the Shanghai Museum of Art and History, containing fascinating glimpses into ancient everyday Chinese life and including a rich collection of artifacts from the Song to Qing Dynasties.
Day 8 Traditional Chinese Silk Carpet Workshop Visit / Yuyuan Garden / ShangHai Histrical Museum

Our first shop today is traditional chinese silk carpet workshop where is a good learn tour for you.
Our next stop is the lovely Yu Garden. Built in 1551 in the heart of Shanghai's Old Town, the Yu Garden-or Garden of Peace and Comfort offers a quiet oasis from the bustle of the city. Perhaps you'll visit the Bazaar just outside the Yu Garden after visit.
After lunch we'll visit Shanghai History Museum to get better understanding about Chinese culture.
Day 9 Shanghai / Optional Tour: Train Ride to Suzhou/ Wangshi Garden Visit / Silk Spinning Workshop / or on your own leisure

Join us today on a full-day excursion to 500-year-old Suzhou in China’s fabled Silk Region. This is the city of silk, gardens, and canals that inspired Marco Polo. Travel by train (just over 30 minutes), arriving in mid morning. Suzhou means “Plentiful Water,” and its Grand Canal is crowded with strings of barges laden with fruits, vegetables, construction materials, and coal. The Grand Canal, second only to the Great Wall as a Chinese engineering feat, was begun 2,400 years ago. Graceful bridges cross over the water and tile-roofed whitewashed houses sit close to shore.
On arrival, you’ll disembark the train and take a short ride to the waterfront. From here, you’ll cruise the canal to the Water Gate, which connects Suzhou to the southern end of the canal and was used as a “toll gate” for the canal’s commercial traffic. then visit the Wangshi (Master of the Fishing Net) Garden, built in 1140 and boasting a peony courtyard that has been reproduced at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit a silk spinning workshop for a discussion and demonstration of how silk is made from mulberry-munching silkworms to thread and fine cloth. Marco Polo reported that so much silk was produced in Suzhou that every citizen was clothed in it. At one time, Suzhou guarded the secrets of silk making so closely that smuggling silkworms out of the city was punishable by death.
Return to Shanghai by motorcoach (about a two-hour drive), perhaps seeking out one of the excellent restaurants near your hotel for dinner on your own.
Day 10 Departure day and return home
